How the IB 45-Point System is Calculated
Unlike standard GPA calculators, the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) uses a specialized weighted system. To achieve the full 45 points, students must master two distinct areas:
Subject Groups (42 Points): Six subjects (HL and SL) are graded from 1 to 7.
The Core (3 Points): The interaction between your Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Extended Essay (EE) grades determines your "Bonus Points."

Strategies to Boost Your Predicted IB Score
Calculating your score is the first step; improving it requires strategy.
Subject Mastery: Moving from a 5 to a 6 in a single HL subject increases your total score more effectively than marginal gains in SL subjects.
The "Core" Buffer: A "C" in both TOK and EE only yields 1 point. We help students target "A" or "B" grades to secure the full 3 bonus points, creating a safety net for final exams.
Assessment Alignment: Ensure your Internal Assessments (IAs) are optimized to the current rubrics, as they often determine the grade boundary shift.
