WHY EDUCIFLY
Why families choose Educifly for
IB Business Management
Most students don't lose marks because they don't know the content. They lose them on application, evaluation and exam structure — the gaps a generalist tutor can't close. If you've searched for an IB Business tutor and only found generalists, this is the difference — every Educifly tutor lives inside the IB Business Management subject guide.
🎓
IBDP specialists, not generalists
Every tutor on our roster teaches IB Business Management exclusively. They know the subject guide line by line, the difference between "Analyse" and "Evaluate" command terms, and exactly what examiners reward in a Paper 2 essay or HL Paper 3. Many have current examiner or moderator experience.
📊
Mark-scheme-driven lessons
We coach against the published IB markbands. Every essay, data response and IA draft is reviewed the way an examiner reviews it — looking for application, balanced evaluation and a justified conclusion, not just correct content.
📝
IA mentorship — from research question to Level 7
The IA is worth 25% of your final grade at SL and 20% at HL. We help you scope a feasible research question, apply the right business tools, and hit the top bands of every IA criterion — without writing a single sentence for you.
🌍
Built around your school, time zone and deadlines
Sessions in your local evening or weekend, every time — whether you're at Sevenoaks in the UK, Ecolint in Geneva, GEMS Wellington in Dubai, UWCSEA in Singapore, Oberoi International in Mumbai, or a US IB programme in the Bay Area.

HOW IT WORKS
How our IB Business Management
tutoring works
A simple three-step process. Most students are matched, assessed and learning inside a week.
STEP 01
Diagnostic call (15 mins)
HL or SL? Mocks or finals? Which units — Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations — are pulling you down? We use the call to match you with the right specialist.
STEP 02
Free trial lesson
A full 1-on-1 lesson on the topic you choose. You meet your tutor, try our interactive virtual classroom, and receive a written assessment of your current level and the path to your target grade.
STEP 03
Personalised roadmap + weekly sessions
Six months from exams? We build a full revision schedule. Two weeks out? We switch to exam mode — past papers, mark-scheme drills, high-yield topics. Parents receive monthly progress notes by default.

EXAM PREPARATION
Papers 1, 2 & 3 —
paper-by-paper preparation
Success in IB Business Management is roughly 50% knowledge and 50% exam technique. You can know the textbook by heart and still walk away with a Level 4 if you can't structure to the markband.
PAPER 01
Pre-Released Case Study
HL & SL · Case-study analysis
The IB releases the case company months before the exam. We dissect it line by line, apply SWOT, STEEPLE and stakeholder analysis, predict the most likely Section A and Section C questions from the case's strategic tensions, and run timed mocks using that exact company. By exam day, nothing in the case can surprise you.
PAPER 02
Quantitative + Qualitative
HL & SL · Data response
Sections A and B reward speed and method: ratio analysis, break-even, cash-flow forecasting, investment appraisal. We drill these until they're automatic — then build the data-response structure and evaluation depth that 15-mark questions demand.
PAPER 03
Social Entrepreneurship
HL only · Unseen social enterprise
An unseen social enterprise. Stakeholder analysis and a strategic recommendation under timed conditions. We coach a repeatable four-step framework: identify the human need → map stakeholders → evaluate options against social and financial criteria → recommend with justification.

THE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT IA
From research question
to a Level 7
The Internal Assessment is worth 20% of your HL grade (1,800-word research project, primary research) or 25% of your SL grade (1,500-word research project, secondary research). It's also where most students leave marks on the table — and almost always because of a poorly scoped question, not poor writing. Need a starting point for your research question? Our IB IA Topic Generator gives you feasible angles — then we scope and pressure-test your pick together.
STAGE 1
Topic feasibility
We narrow your research question so you can actually access the data and so the scope is defensible.
STAGE 2
Tool selection
We help you choose the right business tools — SWOT, BCG, force-field analysis, decision trees, ratio analysis — for your specific question.
STAGE 3
Criterion-by-criterion review
Drafts are checked against every IB markband, with feedback focused on Criteria B and C, where most marks are lost.
STAGE 4
Academic integrity
Coaching, not writing. Every word in your IA stays your work.
THE BUSINESS TOOLKIT
Mastering the
IB Business Toolkit
We coach every tool in the subject guide with worked examples drawn from real IB past papers — not textbook diagrams. You'll learn not just how to draw each tool, but when to use it and what the examiner expects to see around it.
Strategic analysis
SWOT · STEEPLE · Ansoff Matrix · Porter's Generic Strategies
Portfolio & marketing
BCG Matrix · Product Life Cycle · 4Ps / 7Ps
Finance
Break-even · ratio analysis · NPV · ARR · Payback · cash-flow forecasting
Operations (HL)
Gantt charts · force-field analysis · Critical Path Analysis (CPA)
Decision-making (HL)
Decision trees · descriptive statistics · contribution analysis
STUDENT & PARENT STORIES
What students and
parents say
★★★★★
“My son went from a 4 to a 6 in IB Business in one term. His tutor didn't just explain content — he taught him how to think in markbands. The Paper 1 prep on the pre-released case was the turning point.”
Anjali M.
Parent · Oberoi International School, Mumbai
★★★★★
“I struggled with HL Paper 3 until Educifly. The four-step framework just clicked. I walked into the exam knowing exactly what to do with any social enterprise scenario.”
Tomás R.
HL student · International School of Geneva (Ecolint)
★★★★★
“The IA mentorship was the difference between a 5 and a 7. My tutor pushed back on three different research questions before we landed on one that actually had enough data. That call saved my grade.”
Maya K.
HL student · GEMS Wellington International School, Dubai
★★★★★
“We tried two other tutors before Educifly. They were nice but generic. Educifly's tutor knew the subject guide like the back of her hand and corrected my daughter's evaluation paragraphs the way an examiner would.”
David P.
Parent · Sevenoaks School, UK
★★★★★
“Time zones were our biggest worry. Educifly booked every lesson in our local evening and never missed one. My son's tutor was reachable on WhatsApp between sessions when the IA deadline got tight.”
Wei L.
Parent · UWC South East Asia, Singapore
★★★★★
“I'd watched every YouTube video out there. None of them taught me how to structure a 15-mark answer. After six weeks with Educifly, my mock jumped from a 4 to a 6.”
Olivia T.
SL student · Lycée International, Paris

What does an IB Business Management tutor actually help with?
Three things a general business tutor cannot: (1) the IBDP subject guide and its specific terminology; (2) the structure of Paper 1, Paper 2 and HL Paper 3, including how examiners apply mark schemes and command terms; and (3) the Internal Assessment — a 1,500-word (SL) or 1,800-word (HL) research project on a real organisation. Every Educifly tutor specialises in IB Business Management and most have examiner experience.
What if I don't click with my tutor?
Tell us within the first two sessions and we'll switch you — no fee, no awkward conversation. Most students stay with their first match, but the option is always there.
How do you prepare students for HL Paper 3 on social entrepreneurship?
We coach a repeatable four-step framework: identify the human need, map stakeholders and their interests, evaluate two or three strategic options against both social and financial criteria, and recommend with justification. We then run timed practice using past social-enterprise scenarios.
Can you help me choose an IB Business IA topic?
Yes. Most low IA scores come from a poorly scoped research question, not from poor writing. We help you pick a real organisation you can access, narrow the question to a defensible scope, and confirm the right business tools will produce enough analytical material to reach the top criteria bands.
Which Business Toolkit items do I need to know for exams?
SL students need the core toolkit: SWOT, STEEPLE, Ansoff Matrix, BCG Matrix, descriptive statistics, financial ratios, break-even and the marketing mix. HL students additionally need decision trees, force-field analysis, critical path analysis and contribution. We coach all of them with worked examples from real IB past papers.
Do you tutor for the pre-released Paper 1 case study?
Yes. As soon as the IB releases the case study, we dissect it with you line by line, predict the most likely Section A and Section C questions, and run timed mock papers using that exact company. By exam day, you've already written full-length responses on every plausible angle of the case.
Do you offer IGCSE Business tutoring as well as IB?
Yes. We tutor IGCSE Business and IB Business Management — including bridging support for students moving from IGCSE into the IB Diploma.
How long are sessions, and how often should I book?
Sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes. Most students book one to two sessions per week during term, increasing to three or four per week before mocks and finals. We recommend a cadence after the diagnostic call and adjust as you progress.
How much does IB Business Management tutoring cost?
Pricing depends on tutor seniority, session length and frequency. We share a transparent quote after the free trial lesson, when we know exactly what level of support you need. No contracts, no minimum commitment.
What's your refund policy?
You only ever pay for sessions you book. Cancel future sessions at any time. Pre-paid sessions can be paused or refunded on request.
Which time zones do you support?
All major time zones. Our tutors are based across the UK, Europe, UAE, India, Singapore and the US, so we can book sessions in your local evening or weekend, wherever you live.
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. The trial is a complete 1-on-1 lesson with no payment details collected up-front. You only pay if you decide to continue.
